The firm carried out data collection in 110 randomly selected Primary Health Centres (PHCs) under the World Bank’s Nigeria State Health Investment Project (NSHIP) Performance Based Financing (PBF) scheme in Adamawa, Nasarawa and Ondo states. The objectives of the scorecard research were to:
- Develop a management scorecard to measure management practices at primary health care centers (PHCs) under a performance based financing (PBF) scheme in developing countries
- Validate the scorecard in Nigeria; and
- Examine the association between management practice scores and performance of PHCs under the PBF scheme
