Baseline Survey as part of the Impact Evaluation Research on the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Project for Strengthening Pro-poor Community Health Services in Lagos State – JICA (2017)
We carried out the baseline survey as part of the impact evaluation of the project Lagos Mainland LGA of Lagos State. Pregnant women in the study location were selected to continuously measure healthcare services utilization along the continuum of care of Antenatal Care (ANC), Skilled Birth Attendants (SBAs), Postnatal Care (PNC) and immunization of their children. The objectives of the survey were to: (i) assess the current health status of pregnant women; (ii) their knowledge, attitude and health seeking behaviors; and (iii) geographic, environmental and psychological factors affecting their health status. A total of 2,333 PW were listed for interview across all the 861 EAs in the LGA and 2,315 were interviewed.
