The objecves of the survey were to: (a) collect endline data to esmate vaccinaon coverage rates for clinics, catchment selements in the three States of Jigawa, Katsina and Zamfara; and (b) generate evidence of the effecveness of ABAE’s program across a variety of clinic types.
The survey is being conducted in 167 clinics as well as their catchment areas in Jigawa, Katsina and Zamfara States. The survey is taking place in both rural and urban communies in the 2 States. Children aged 12 to 24 months were the target of the survey. About 52,605 households shall be listed using compact segment sampling; approximately 7,515 caregivers of 12-15 month old infants randomly selected from the lisng shall be interviewed and samples of the infants’ saliva shall be taken.
