Evaluation of the Family Planning Services Component of the Quality Assurance in Obstetrics (QAO) Project- Rotary International (2017)

We were engaged by the Rotary International to conduct an evaluation of the Family Planning (FP) component of their Quality Assurance in Obstetrics (QAO) project. We conducted desk review of the FP services component interventions in treatment and prevention of Obstetrics Fistula as well as reduction in maternal and newborn mortality project between 2000 and 2007. We also conducted performance review of the FP services components of the QAO services between 2008 and 2016 in 5 States of Enugu, FCT, Kaduna, Kano and Ondo States. In addition, we are conducted baseline survey for the FP component of QAO in Anambra, Ebonyi and Osun States.

The survey components include: (a) review of FP records in two implementing clinics in each of the States and (b) Household survey in the host community of each of the clinics. The survey covered a total of 32 health facilities and 640 households across the eight States.
