Our firm carried out the GIS mapping of hard-to reach communities, PPMVs and PHCs in 12 LGAs in Ebonyi and Kogi States. The specific objectives of this exercise were to:
- Identify and map hard-to-reach communities using GIS tools (selected based on a distance and/or time criteria);
- Identify and map PPMV sites and determine PPMV profiles and site readiness to provide child health services; and
- Determine facility readiness to provide child health services, including geo-coordinates of PHC.A total of 827 communities, 1,821 PPMV main, 1,402 PPMV ‘info-to-share’ and 105 PHC interviews were conducted in both Ebonyi and Kogi States.
