Hanovia is currently providing logistical support and payment services to Options’ operations in Nigeria for the following programmes.
MNCH2 is a five year programme, which commenced in June 2014 and is currently working at Federal, State Ministry of Health and Local Government level across six states: Kano, Katsina, Jigawa, Zamfara and Yobe.
Options is responsible for Output 3 “Improved evidence-based decision making and accountability at all levels for the delivery of quality integrated RMNCH services in supported States/LGAs”. Options provides technical assistance to improve mechanisms for community feedback on health services, which helps government and service providers understand how to make services more acceptable to the populations they serve.
Evidence for Action (E4A) was a five year UK Department for International Development (DFID) funded programme, running until March 2016. The E4A programme received an extension through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation through to December 2017. This has allowed for the implementation of the E4A programme and its associated MamaYe campaign in Gombe, Lagos and Bauchi. The programme aims to improve maternal and newborn survival through a strategic combination of evidence, advocacy and accountability to save lives and instigate more efficient use of resources and improved quality of care.
The Girl Generation (TGG) is a five-year programme supported by the UK’s Department for International Development which promotes the idea that we can end Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in one generation. In Nigeria, TGG primarily operates in Abuja and aims to galvanize the existing Africa-led, global movement to end FGM.
