The objecve of this consultancy was to collect primary data from 480 schools in six target States in Nigeria to assess the quality of primary educaon in public schools. It focused primarily on literacy and numeracy assessments. Results from the survey will serve to provide insights into learning outcomes as well as to provide a comparave analysis to supplement naonal-level data.
Hanovia Limited implemented survey for the SDG-4 Educaon Evaluaon in Nigeria in 6 States (Enugu, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kwara and Zamfara). In September 2020, the United Naons Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the Government of Nigeria (GoN), through the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on the Sustainable Development Goals (OSSAP-SDGs), commissioned prime contractor Alegre Associates, Inc. and subcontractor EdIntersect, LLC to conduct an independent evaluaon of the effecveness and impact of Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG-4) in Nigeria (2016 – 2019). Data collecon tools include head teacher quesonnaire, pupil quesonnaire, pupil English language & literacy assessments and numeracy assessments
