The objecves of the survey were to: (i) Collect GPS coordinates of exisng Tsangaya Tradional schools in the Komboso and Fagge LGAs in Kano State, (ii) Administer the SABER-EPS Provider Survey to a randomly selected sample of pre-primary sengs within Islamic, Qur’anic and Tsangaya Educaon (IQTE) providers, Islamiya Integrated Schools and Convenonal Public Primary Schools (ii) Administer the MELQO tools to a sub-sample of pre-primary sengs within Tsangaya Tradional Schools, Islamiya Integrated Schools and Convenonal Public Primary Schools randomly selected from the list of programs idenfied through the GPS mapping
The survey was conducted for Nigeria Partnership for Educaon Project (NIPEP) in Kano State. The components of the survey implemented were: (a) GPS mapping of 1,082 exisng Islamiyya and Tsangayya schools in the Kumbotso and Fagge local government areas (LGAs) of Kano State; (b) administraon of the ‘systems approach for beer educaon results- engaging the private sector (SABER-EPS)’ provider survey to 190 randomly selected schools captured from the GPS mapping; and (c) administraon of the ‘measuring early learning and quality outcomes (MELQO)’ tool to 80 randomly selected subset of the schools sampled for the SABER-EPS provider survey.
