Phone-Based Survey of Tech4Dev Digital Skills Training

The World Bank (WB) conducted research in partnership with Technology for Social Change and Development Initiative (Tech4Dev) to understand the impact of different components of its training program, as well as the factors that support the enrollment and success of women in its programs. As part of this research, the WB conducted a phone survey of Tech4Dev alumni and previous non-admitted applicants to understand their experiences with the training programs and measure the impact of the training on their employment situation, education, and personal finances.

Survey Implementation and Target Population
Data collection involved conducting phone interviews with Tech4Dev women Techsters alumni and previous non-admitted applicants of the program. Data collection efforts targeted 2,000 respondents categorized into three categories – priority graduates, other graduates and priority non-graduates.
Phone-based data collection measuring the real-world impact of women’s digital skills training programs in partnership with the World Bank and Tech4Dev.
